Feeding the 5,000
John 6:1–14 (Junior Version)
One day, a huge crowd followed Jesus to a hillside because they wanted to hear Him teach and see His miracles.
As evening came, everyone was hungry. Jesus asked His disciple Philip, “Where can we buy bread for all these people?”
A boy nearby had five small loaves of bread and two fish. Jesus told the disciples to have everyone sit down.
Jesus thanked God for the food and began to break the bread and fish. Miraculously, it never ran out! Everyone ate until they were full.
Afterward, the disciples collected twelve baskets of leftovers. The people were amazed and said, “Surely this is the Prophet who has come into the world!”
