The Sower and the Seeds
Matthew 13:1–9 (Junior Version)
Jesus told a story about a farmer who went out to plant seeds. As he scattered them, some fell on the path, and birds quickly ate them up.
Some seeds fell on rocky ground. They sprouted quickly but had no deep roots, so they dried up when the sun came out.
Other seeds fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked the plants so they couldn’t grow well.
But some seeds fell on good soil. They grew strong and produced lots of grain — a great harvest!
Jesus said the seeds are like God’s Word. When we listen and keep it in our hearts, we grow and bear good fruit.
