A Knitted Harvest Bounty – 2025

Harvest this year will be on Sunday 26th October and the service will be led by our Minister, Nadene. We no longer have a large display of fruit and vegetables, and the colourful display is missed. This year (with Nadene’s blessing) we are hoping to have a knitted harvest display. (Crochet or sewn are acceptable too). We hope all church members will be involved.

Rev Val Towler has knitted some fruit and veg to start us off. She has also provided different coloured wool and patterns. These will be in church for you to choose a wool and a fruit etc. Of course you are welcome to do your own.

Val said if we start now we should have a great show by October and guess what the vegetables don’t rot.
I will negotiate with craft team as to where it will be stored so that you can access it.

I am beginning small by knitting a plum, I shall work up to a cauliflower.
I believe some of you are knitting squares, this does not mean you can’t take part in the great Harvest Display Project!

Looking forward to seeing it take shape. Invite your friends to help too. Blessings, Maranny
