Jesus told a story about a shepherd who had one hundred sheep. Every day he counted them to make sure they were all safe.

One evening, the shepherd counted only ninety‑nine. One sheep was missing!

He left the ninety‑nine safe sheep and went searching through the hills and valleys for the lost one.

At last, he found the lost sheep stuck in some bushes. He lifted it onto his shoulders and carried it home.

The shepherd was so happy that he called his friends and neighbours to celebrate. Jesus said, “There is joy in heaven when one lost person turns back to God.”
